Small Start.

Big Vision.

Welcome to Rock Harbor School—Where Education Feels Like Home.

At Rock Harbor School, we believe education is more than academics—it’s about shaping hearts, cultivating purpose, and building a strong foundation for life. Our Christ-centered programs are designed to meet students where they are and grow with them, from early childhood through high school.

Whether you’re looking for a full-time academic path or a homeschool partnership with à la carte enrichment, Rock Harbor offers a flexible, nurturing environment where every learner belongs.

Why Rock Harbor

The name Rock Harbor wasn’t chosen by accident. It reflects exactly what we hope this school will be—a safe harbor built on the Rock.

Like any good harbor, we believe children need a place of shelter and preparation before they set sail into the world. A place where they’re seen and celebrated. Where they’re taught truth, anchored in faith, and surrounded by a strong and loving community.

At Rock Harbor School, that foundation is Christ.

Our Story

We didn’t set out to build a school. We set out to build a place for our own kids to thrive—and that seed grew into something more.

Rock Harbor began with a few families, a lot of prayer, and a shared desire to raise our children in an environment that honors both academic excellence and spiritual growth. We knew we wanted something different: something joyful, Christ-centered, and deeply rooted in partnership with families.

As we began dreaming, one image kept surfacing: a harbor. A place of refuge. A place where ships prepare before heading out into open water. And we realized—that’s exactly what we were building.

We named it Rock Harbor because:

  • Christ is our Rock—our foundation, our guide, and our unshakable center.

  • A Harbor is where vessels are anchored, repaired, equipped, and made ready for the journey ahead.

That’s what we want for our students: to be grounded in truth, surrounded by community, and prepared to launch boldly into whatever God has next.

Our History

From a quiet cove to a growing harbor—anchored in faith.

Rock Harbor School began with a prayer and a promise.

In the fall of 2022, a small group of families in Providence Village, Texas felt a stirring—an undeniable nudge to create something different for their children. Traditional schooling options felt either too rigid or too disconnected from their faith and values. So they came together in a home, hired passionate, Christ-centered teachers, and started what was then called Harbor Homeschool.

It wasn’t fancy. But it was powerful. Children were learning joyfully. Families were growing closer. Faith was central. And something special was taking root.

By the next year, that quiet beginning had already begun to multiply. Enrollment doubled in 2023, and the program expanded to include four core academic subjects offered five days a week, alongside optional electives. What started as a small support system quickly grew into a full learning community—one that was still home-based, but brimming with momentum, purpose, and prayer.

As the vision matured, so did the name. Rock Harbor School was born out of a deeper calling—to be not just a place for academic support, but a spiritual harbor for families. A place built on the Rock, and shaped like a Harbor—steady, safe, and purpose-driven.

By 2024, enrollment doubled again, and Rock Harbor expanded into a new location in Aubrey, Texas. With more space, more programs, and more families joining the journey, the school entered a new season of growth—faithfully and intentionally—without losing the warmth, flexibility, and community that shaped us from the start.

Now, as we look ahead to Fall 2025, Rock Harbor is expected to reach full capacity. In keeping with our microschool model, we remain committed to staying small by design—so every child is seen, every family is known, and faith continues to guide everything we do.

Our Mission

To cultivate a nurturing, faith-based environment where students embark on a transformative journey of academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development, empowering them to become confident, compassionate individuals who impact the world around them.

Our Vision

We believe education should do more than prepare a child for the next grade level—it should prepare them for the life God is calling them to live.

At Rock Harbor, our vision is to be a beacon for families who are longing for something different. Something deeper. Something more aligned with truth, purpose, and peace.

We imagine a world where children grow up with courage in their convictions and joy in their hearts. Where they learn to think critically, walk humbly, and stand firmly—because their foundation is Christ. We dream of students who are not only academically equipped, but spiritually awakened. Kids who know they are loved, called, and capable of making a difference in the world around them.

We envision families walking together—learning, laughing, growing in faith, and building something that will last for generations. We see education as a sacred partnership between school and home, where children are not rushed through childhood, but nurtured through it.

What We Teach

At Rock Harbor School, education is more than academics—it’s discipleship. We equip students with knowledge and wisdom, grounding every subject in biblical truth and real-world relevance.

Across all programs, our teaching integrates five core pillars:

  • Strong Academics – Rigorous instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and history forms the foundation for lifelong learning.

  • Biblical Worldview – Every subject is taught through the lens of Scripture, helping students connect their faith with their studies.

  • Critical Thinking – We encourage curiosity, discernment, and meaningful discussion so students learn how to think, not just what to think.

  • Creative Expression – Art, music, theater, and STEM opportunities allow students to explore their God-given gifts and creativity.

  • Life Preparation – Practical skills, character formation, agriculture, and servant leadership are woven into every grade and class.

Whether full-time, part-time, or homeschool-supported, our goal is the same: to cultivate capable, Christ-centered students who love learning and live with purpose.

How Our Values Shape What We Teach

At Rock Harbor, what we believe is inseparable from how we teach.

Our programs weren’t built to mimic the traditional school model. They were built from the ground up—guided by our values, shaped by prayer, and designed around what families truly need in today’s world.

At Rock Harbor, we didn’t follow a standard school model and just add Christian language to it. Instead, we designed every part of our program—what we teach, how we teach, and how families can participate—based on the values we care about most.

We wanted a school where Christ is at the center of every subject, not just chapel. Where families are seen as partners, not just parents who drop off and pick up. Where learning is flexible enough to fit real-life schedules—and rich enough to prepare kids for real life.

That’s why we created full-time and part-time options. Why we offer both structured classes and à la carte electives. Why our curriculum combines strong academics with hands-on projects, small class sizes, and time to wonder and grow.

Our Core Values

Here’s how each of our core values directly shapes what we offer—turning belief into action, and intention into everyday experience.

Table of Contents

Christ-Centered Living

Faith-Integrated Curriculum

We believe that Christ belongs in every subject—not just chapel. Our curriculum is intentionally faith-infused, from science that sparks awe in God’s creation to history that connects world events to biblical truth. Every day offers opportunities to grow in character, not just content.

Family Partnership

Flexible Pathways

Some families need full-time academics. Others need support in homeschooling. Some need just a day or two of enrichment. We offer all of that—because we believe families should have a voice in how their children learn. Our programs are designed to support, not replace, the role of the parent.

Flexibility with Purpose

Mastery Learning

We offer both structured and à la carte options so that learning can fit into real life. Whether through full-time classes, part-time electives, or enrichment days, families can choose the rhythm that works for them—without compromising on quality, community, or spiritual growth.

Whole-Child Growth

Hands-On Education

We teach to the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Our curriculum blends academic excellence with life skills, character-building, agriculture, creative exploration, and social-emotional development, all within a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. We believe in joyful learning that engages the senses and stirs the soul.

Community and Connection

Small Classes

We keep our class sizes small on purpose. Because relationship matters. We want every student to be known by name, supported by teachers who care, and surrounded by peers who become lifelong friends. From classroom discussions to enrichment days and summer programs, we prioritize connection at every level.

Joyful Learning

Wonder-Driven Experiences

We believe children learn best when they’re curious, engaged, and having fun. That’s why we design learning experiences that spark wonder—through hands-on projects, faith-filled exploration, and real-world connections. Whether in the classroom, outdoors, or during our Summer Series, joy isn’t an extra—it’s essential.
