Foundations Program
Grades K–8 | On-Campus | Core Academic Model
The Foundations Program offers a full-time academic experience for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Designed around biblical truth and academic excellence, it provides rigorous core instruction, hands-on life skills, and Christ-centered character formation within a supportive school community.
Families can choose between several program options based on their preferred level of structure and enrichment. Whether families are looking for a strong academic core or a full-day experience with creative enrichment, Foundations offers a Christ-centered environment where students grow in knowledge, character, and confidence.
What Students Learn
Rooted in Faith. Built for the Future.
At Rock Harbor, we believe education should shape both the mind and the heart. That’s why the Foundations curriculum is intentionally designed to develop academic competence, personal character, and spiritual wisdom—so students are prepared not just for the next grade level, but for life.
Our approach balances rigorous academics with hands-on learning, practical life skills, and a deeply integrated biblical worldview. Instruction is built around five key domains that work together to support the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
The Foundations curriculum is designed across five key domains to nurture both competence and character:
- Core Subjects: A strong academic foundation in reading, writing, math, science, and history—all taught through a biblical lens. See More →
- Equipping Minds: A brain-based cognitive program strengthens memory, focus, and executive function to support all learners. See More →
- Life Skills & Character: Students develop practical readiness in areas like cooking, gardening, budgeting, and etiquette, along with social-emotional maturity. See More →
- Faith in Learning: Daily devotionals, scripture integration, grace-based discipline, and a Christ-centered classroom culture. See More →
- Electives: Afternoon enrichment in the arts, sciences, and movement—offered seasonally by subject-matter specialists. See More →
